From the President

January 23, 2010

I would like to start by thanking The Professional Providers of the Lower Shore for hosting our meeting today and providing Breakfast and Lunch and also let you know that Cecil County has agreed to host our July Annual and Quarterly meeting.  I hope all of you are enjoying our meetings being hosted by our member associations as much as I have.  I think it is very fair that we take turns traveling to different areas of our State and take the opportunity to meet other members of their association and give their members an opportunity to see what we do as a state association   I have had nothing but good feedback  from guests at our meetings.  I hope we can continue to have our meetings this way and get to know more of our members, on that note we still need someone to host our April meeting.

Since the last meeting, we (Arlene Ennis and I) have made plans for our Annual Board Development, which will be held March 6, 2010 at the Hyatt in Cambridge, MD on the Choptank River.  It is the same location we had last year...  We are opening this to two board members or tentative board members of each association.  We were not able to get the gentleman that Cassie Anderson recommended, but he recommended a lady named Michelle who will be doing our team building training.

I have been to any local association meetings for a while, but I would like to attend those associations I have not been to yet, so please let me know when would be a good time for me to attend your meeting if I have not been there yet.

I am still hoping we can get it together to do the PR campaign for choosing quality regulated child care.  I would like to have a volunteer to head a committee.
